Terms of Service

The service

Zortilla provides product analytics for apps and websites: event tracking SDKs, funnels, retention, journey maps, churn prediction, experiment analysis and Ask Zortilla, an AI assistant for questions about your data.

Your account

• You must give accurate sign-up details and keep your login credentials safe.
• You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including actions by team members you invite.
• You must be authorised to accept these terms for your organisation.

Plans, events and limits

Plans are priced by the number of events tracked each month. An event is any action sent to Zortilla, such as a page view, screen view, tap or custom event. Event properties and user profile updates do not count as events.

• Free includes up to 1 million events a month. If you go over, collection continues for the rest of the month and we will ask you to choose a plan.
• Growth includes 5 million events a month, with extra events billed per million up to 20 million.
• Scale is priced by agreement for higher volumes.

Billing

Paid plans are billed in US dollars, monthly or yearly in advance. Extra events on Growth are billed at the end of each month. Taxes are added where required. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

Your data

You own the data you send to Zortilla. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required consent to collect event data from your users, and for telling them about it in your own privacy notice. You must not send passwords, payment card numbers, health records or other sensitive personal data as event properties.

AI features

Answers from Ask Zortilla, churn predictions and experiment suggestions are generated from your data and are estimates. They show the data behind them, but you should review them before making important decisions. Your data is never used to train AI for other customers.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Zortilla to track people without the notice or consent required by law.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
• Do not resell access to the service without a written agreement.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Zortilla available at all times. Scale plans include an uptime commitment in their order form. We may improve or change features, and will give notice before removing a feature that paid plans rely on.

Ending your account

You can close your workspace at any time from settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or leave invoices unpaid, after notice where possible. After closing, you can export your data for 30 days before it is deleted.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Zortilla is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid for the service in that period.
